Becca's POV

I woke up with the sun in my eyes. Turning, I heard footsteps come দ্বারা my door and Sam's voice on the other side. I sat up and ran my fingers through my hair. It was a late night, but I was used to those. Besides, if Sam was up, I was going to miss out on all the fun. I quickly got dressed and brushed my hair. I decided to just put it in a ponytail and then headed into the bathroom to brush my teeth.
As I left my room, I grabbed the taser I had stolen from one of the guards at Grant Industries. I hid it in my boot and headed out. I entered the common room, ignoring the whistling of the stupid men. I was surrounded দ্বারা idiots. I caught sight of Sam and headed over to him. He was talking with Jazzman.
“...I'm surprised আপনি came back after all these years,” I heard Jazzman say.
Huh? Sam had worked for Jazzman before? I had guessed, but this was my proof. Not that I would sell Sam out. But having proof allowed for all kinds of things. Like blackmail. But then again, Sam wasn't just another kid off the streets. He was attempting to be a hero.
In my opinion, he was doing well. I know from personal experience how dangerous playing the game could be. It was all অথবা nothing. And Sam was trying to give it his all. So I would আরো than likely use this information to keep me in check about his আরো violent tendencies.
“So am I,” Sam was saying. “Trust me, it wasn't intended.”
I came over to him and, playing the disgusting role of girlfriend, kissed his cheek. If I had to suffer from playing this part, I was going to embarrass him. His face turned towards me in a smile, but I could tell from the look in his eyes that he hated this as much as I did. I resisted the urge to throw him to the ground when he put an arm around my waist. Oh this was torture আরো than hell could give.
“Ah Becky,” Jazzman said.
I cringed.
“Becca,” I all but growled.
“I'd like to see আপনি in my office later.”
“Sure,” I agreed.
Despite the fear I had, I was going to play my part as dutiful girlfriend to Sam. Which meant going to talk with his creep of a boss. I swear he looks at me when he thinks I don't know. And the satisfied smile on his face only deepened my fear. I was not too happy about joining that creep alone. But if I didn't, it could blow our cover. And I was not too keen on Batman's wrath. His glare I could face. But there were other things he could control that I feared. Like who his son dated. So with deep anxiety, I decided to keep playing my role.

Several hours later, Becca's POV

I walked down to the common room, trying to ignore my meeting with Jazzman. I was right; he was a creep. But I was ready to forget the conversation and was hoping for a game of cards. But not a single person was in the common room. I sighed and headed down several hallways. I finally heard the sound of the men and came to what was a gym. I entered and watched as they were sparring and playing some form of football, I guess. None of them had seen me, so it wasn't that horrible. But what happened পরবর্তি made my blush a dark scarlet.
Since they hadn't noticed I was there, they thought they were alone. Which made sense. So I watched as Sam stripped his শার্ট off, throwing it to the side. And that's what made me turn so red. This was the first time I had ever seen his torso and, to be completely honest, I kinda liked it. He was definatly muscular, but he was also sweating. That along with his chiseled frame...I was pretty red দ্বারা the time they noticed I was there.
Sam looked red in the face as well, but I wasn't sure if it was because I'd seen him with his শার্ট off অথবা because he'd been running around. I stood there awkwardly for a few সেকেন্ড before dashing out the door. I could hear the others teasing Sam, but I didn't care. I headed to my room where I hid for three days.
