Here's something called the Zutara Notebook that I made. In it is a lot of reasons why Zutara should have happened. Enjoy the facts and tell me what আপনি think!
A: Katara
Intro: Katara of the Southern Water Tribe is a very kind and caring person. When the situation calls for one, she steps up to be the ব্রেভ leader and mother of the group. Though she also has a temper, which she can be quite dangerous with that combined with her water bending. She also always seems to know what she wants and likes in a প্রদত্ত situation. Though does she know what she wants when it comes to love?
1. As seen in the episode, “The Fortune Teller”, Katara ব্যক্ত directly to Aunt Wo what she likes in a guy: a handsome, tall man. Later in the season she developed a crush on a guy named Jet. Jet matched Katara’s বিবরণ in “The Fortuneteller” well. He was both handsome and tall, the very things that Katara likes. Who else do we know on the প্রদর্শনী who matches that description? Firelord Zuko.
2. Even though this wasn’t shown directly in the show, আপনি can tell that Katara likes a person who she can talk to about her feelings; somebody who she can relate to. Who do we know besides Sokka who’s “lost” a mother on the show? আপনি guessed it. Firelord Zuko. As shown in “The Crossroads of Destiny”, Katara and Zuko connected right away with this topic (also to be discussed in a later section of the subject “Zutara”). আপনি might think that she could also talk about this to Aang অথবা Sokka. That’s not true. Yes, Aang did lose his people to the আগুন nation and the sand benders did take Appa away from him. Though was he there for both events? অথবা even one? No. When Sokka হারিয়ে গেছে his mother, who was it that went looking for her? Katara. So, technically, was he there? No. Katara was there when her mom died. She saw what happened to her mom with her own eyes in the end. No wonder why she felt that way in “The Southern Raiders”! Now for the প্রশ্ন about Zuko: Was Zuko there when his mom left the আগুন nation? Yes. Ursa went to say good-bye to her son before she left. Even though Prince Zuko was very sleepy at the time, he did see her leave. As soon as he got to his senses, he got out of বিছানা running for her, but he was too late. She was already gone.

In the Sozin’s Comet book, one of the creators, Bryan Konietzo said, “Zuko and Katara might have shared some sparks, but sometimes there are people along your ‘journey of love’ who are there to teach আপনি about yourself and what আপনি really need, but don’t necessarily end up being your partner.” Sometimes this is true (especially with friendships), yet sometimes this isn’t. In Katara’s case, I would say it isn’t. She has been through a lot, and she doesn’t need somebody who she can just প্রণয় অথবা kiss. She needs a person who understands her and her feelings.
