I'm alright hating Evil/Enchanted Gwen. I can't wait for her to get back to her normally loving and lovely self.

It looks like she has poison him in the trailer but of course Merlin must have found him in time

nooooooo whyyyyyy wh7y gwen is evil/enchanted and she poisens or whatever arthur(i hope he magicaly comes back to life)whyyyyy what is wrong with the producres i thought they were going to avoid gwen being the downfall of arthur ( i hope they still do) whyyyyy please make gwen good at the end and make sure she and arthur are alive if not i will proberly end up in the hospital ( on the plus side i am rather intrested in whats going to happen although i hope the rumore that she is evil for 3 episode is not true cause i will definatly end up on in the hospital if it is)

Yep, it's more permanent than what she tries to do to Arthur. I can see a lot of what she does praying on her mind once she is better the poor lass :(

It does doesn't it. Cursed Gwen does a terrible thing in this episode, I'm hoping the consequences of it are something she has to work through when it's lifted. But like the bangle last year, I'm guessing it will be forgotten in later eps :(

Sigh it sounds to me that Gwen frames another person for her nefarious actions resulting in that person being put to death for treason. Poor Gwen, the guilt she will be feeling over trying to kill Arthur and causing an innocent person to lose his or her life.

I knew it. Gwen's going to end up suffering all the consequences of this and she'll likely get no justice for what Morgana's done to her. This makes me so angry. First her brother dies and now this. And it won't even matter to her that she was enchanted because you just know that she's still going to blame herself for it. Morgana needs to pay for this.

I'm a bit disgusted by what this suggests. I was up for naughty but not murderous. The idea that they might both brush what happens as a result of this enchaantment under the rug like they did with the Lancelot thing and that Gwen will be forced to deal with deep guilt for something she had no control over is overkill IMO. Geesh, is this woman ever gonna catch a break?

I have huge fears, but I ain't gonna get upset by it yet. I've always believed to wait and judge these things till I've seen it all and I will stand by that. I just hope that unlike the Lancelot issue in series 4, Gwen will find a way to deal with the actions she did under Morgana's hold. Really, its not her fault, its all Morgana but we know poor Gwen will blame herself and that ain't right. So the writers better make sure that Morgana gets some back.

More from Sandi from spoiler tv regarding Gwen. I am posting the question she is responding to, so that we can get a better picture- I have to say that after reading spoilers, sandi's responses, that I am not liking this story arc at all.

Hmm, I think that's her aim (well, Morgana's, I think Gwen would be horrified if she knew what she was doing). The plans are obviously thwarted a couple of times in this episode, but as the last dialogue teaser shows, she actually ends up in an even stronger position in the eyes of many at court. God only knows what twisted plan the witch will come up with for her to do next! :(

God I saw this earlier on the site. I hope Morgana gets her comeuppances because she deserves it after what she puts Gwen (and Arthur) through.

Episode 9 can't come soon enough.

OMG seriously? This is abuse of the worst kind. There is no redemption for Morgana. She has used and invaded Guinevere's body before. And that is what this is. My poor Queen, I will have a hard time dealing with this because it is repulsive. Morgana is repulsive. There is no penalty that will be hard enough for Morgana.

OMG! I'm so scared of this episode. I'm confussed by it. Agree with you Bonne-Bell, episode 9 can't come soon enough.

Morgana should have stayed shackled in that well for eternity ... who the hell freed her!!!

I saw this last night at Spoiler TV and my heart sank. At first I was looking forward to this whole thing because I thought it would be an interesting story line for Gwen/Angel, but now I'm not liking it. I wish now they'd found some other way to put her front and center. Not this way.

I wish I could trust them to bring this to a really good resolution for the character and for her fans and for Arwen's fans. So sad that we have so little faith in the writers and powers to be. Or else we wouldn't be so worried and disappointed. Maybe by some miracle episode 9 will be redemptive for Gwen and the solution will make it all worthwhile. Our only hope if we dare to hope. Up to now they've given Arwen fans so little.

From the trailer it looks like Arthur is incapacitated due to the poison and Gwen is asserting herself by taking more power over Camelot as queen, therefore lessening Arthur's power as king. Helping in the fall of Camelot. I hope she did not sign over power to Morgana while enchanted. I hope Merlin can reverse all that. Why are TPTB are ending this series in such a dreadful manner, destroying everything. Please I hope I am wrong, or else this series will be such a disappointment after watching this show for 5 seasons Can someone tell me when is Merlin the greatest sorcerer ever, is going to put Morgana in her place.

If she has given control of the throne to Morgana, it means that the last two episode will be Arthur going to battle to regain control of his throne again, This is the third year the the season finale is the same Arthur fighting Morgana for his inheritance, this is so fucking ridiculous!! nothing new, once again. Except this time maybe he dies, what a waste!!!!!!

I don't think that this story arc is going to end with Gwen handing over power to Morgana and Arthur having to battle for the throne again and then dying in the process. I think it's going to come close to that but Merlin and Alator are going to figure out something to get Gwen back to herself before it happens. Arthur's still in Camelot in episode 8 judging by the promo pics for that episode. Gwen's probably going to set something up to get Merlin outside of Camelot (he's apparently going to have a new apprentice that he's going to leave Camelot with) so that they can be rid of him and do the take over but Merlin's going to twart this plan in the end. And then episode 9 is going to be focusing on getting Gwen back to herself again. So lets please calm down because I don't think it's going to be as bad as enchanted!Gwen leading Arthur to the final battle and his doom.

Oh also, Dave said that 5x07 was a bit of a filler episode so it's probably not going to be very important to the whole story arc. I'm sure if something really significant such as Gwen signing over power to Morgana happended, he wouldn't have called it a filler episode.

Going by the review Sandi says she will do something that will affect Camelot in the long run, something worse than trying to kill Arthur. I know she will have the stable boy killed but it sounds like she does something else that will be part of the fall of Camelot, while she is under the effect of Morgana's enchantment unknowing what she is doing.

Cultbox review made me feel better. I recommend reading that one Lailastar. I don't think what happens in this one will be that heavy duty in the long run.
