How do আপনি guys make a boring book less boring?

So, we've been পাঠ করা 'la tulipe noire' at school and it's really boring :( I know it's one of the classics, but it's a bit hard to read. It has long(extremely long) sentences and a quite small font. The book প্রতিবেদন is due পরবর্তি week and every time I try to read that book, I fail. Any ideas to make it less boring? Like listening to সঙ্গীত while পাঠ করা অথবা something(I tried but that doesn't work for me either)?
