The most epic ship of the show, Stelena was completely ruined in the beginning and even আরো in this season. It’s a fake relationship based on lies, no build up, no real obstacles, and no real প্রণয় for each other. Elena never knew Stefan until this season, and all their lies exploded in their faces.
Beremy: Another rushed ship but it made sense at least. But then they completely destroyed them in 3x07.
Forwood: I ship them but they were just thrown together in the first ep of S3. They had proper build up last season but yet the writers made them screw like dogs. Ever since then it went downhill.
Caroline/Matt: This was basically SE 2.0. Matt found out that Caroline was a vampire and couldn’t handle it so he broke up with her. He was sick of the lies and secrets. I don’t blame him at all.
Datherine: I really don’t know why I need to explain this one because it’s been obvious why this has been a ruined ship ever since 2x01. Damon searched for the woman who he thought he loved only to find she didn’t প্রণয় him back, it was always Stefan for her. He spent 145 years looking for her, trying to release her from the tomb that she was never in, only to get slapped in the face দ্বারা these four words, “I never loved you.” if that wasn’t bad enough, she make a deal with John, a deal that would result with one of the brothers dead. And she chose Stefan to live over Damon, no surprise there.
Now let’s look at Delena. So far they have stayed flawless compared to all these other romantic ships. They met, they got to know each other, they hated each other, became friends, hit major bumps in the road that would have destroyed any normal relationship, and now they are at that point where Damon is willing to wait for Elena to প্রণয় him back. DE isn’t normal. It’s unquie, it’s passionate, it has everything that the ships I listed above don’t have, and that’s trust. Their trust in each other has been put to the test millions of times but they never fail to make out of anything alive. Elena may have doubted Damon but at the end of the দিন she knows that he’ll always be there to save her, to console her, to reassure her that everything is going to be ok, and Elena returns that back to Damon. Their relationship has had some major things that have preventing them from being together (Stefan is that main obstacle) but that’s a good thing. It’ll make Delena so much আরো special when it happens and so far the writers have taken good care, no EXCELLENT care of Delena and wants what is best for them.
Just keep this in mind if আপনি ever start to lose hope in DE whether it be from the interviews অথবা the show. KW may say stuff about SE, but what he says and what he does are very different. The same goes for JP. They know how to write a প্রণয় story, but only with Delena do they really put in the effort.
