They did sort of fall for each other at first sight, yes, but the true love came when they got to know each other and spent time together, and Eric didn't even know that Ariel, that mute girl, was a girl of his dreams, a girl with a beautiful voice who saved him. He chose the real Ariel over his image of her he created in his head and in the end when it all came full circle their love ended up being even more powerful than it could have been. I also love Mulan/Shang, they made a great team and had a solid build up as a relationship. And Aladdin/Jasmine are amazing.
