I would like to adress the accusations on the Best Pink Outfit Countdown final. I had absolutely no intention of exploiting other countries' cultures. My idea of the poll was to judge the outfits based on the first impression- the color itself, how it compliments the person, if the shape is good. Mulan's dress is very special to me, it's very iconic and is one of my favorite dresses of all time, and didn't think about how the style is considered today, which I am sorry for. I'm trying not to think politically when it comes to movies, and perceive them like I did as a kid, when I first saw them. Next time, I will try to be more considerate.

No one complains about historical accuracy of the dresses in general though, which is kind of shady (aside from wavesurf). Also, no offense, but associating people with the stereotypes about their race is racist as well. So next time, when you accuse me of being "racist", keep this in mind because this makes you that as well. Also, keep in mind that I never guessed anyone's race and described them with the stereotypes that race has. I understand that it's sensitive to you but please spare me of that.


Anyway...


I would like to explain the outfit color sorting system. Camillekeatons has pointed out that many of the outfits here are cream. Technically, this is true, but some shades of cream are more brown, and some are more white. The cream outfits here are in the first category. For example, Anna's princess dress is more of a lighter brown shade of cream, and Tiana's boa dress is in the White category, because it is more of a white-cream outfit rather that a brown-cream.


As for Snow White's rags, same as before. My next choice would be Cinderella's sequel brown outfit.

This. Like why would you pair tan with brown and more brown, in the ugliest shades of brown you could find?

^also agree with wavesurf. Way too many shades of brown so it's just an unappealing mess. At least a German Chocolate Cake is appetizing to eat, not something to wear.
