Why do some people take things আরো siriusly than others?

Mainly because we're all different people who laugh at different things.

(I for one do not laugh at stupid jokes with no meaning, such as "Bella has ugly teeth, lol" অথবা "Edward has an ugly face!". It's just not funny. (I wouldn't laugh at "Hermione has শুঁয়াপোকা eyebrows!" either))
I will say what I think about some jokes, because I have the legal right to. I'm not going to stop at just "That's stupid" either, because it makes it look like I'm just offended and I don't know what else to say. If I have a reason to think any particular "joke" is stupid অথবা senseless, I'll go ahead and give my two cents. It's really not an issue.

A lot of these jokes are made at the expense of others. When it's at your expense, can I really expect আপনি to laugh and enjoy it? I wouldn't expect that at all.


I know a lot of people like to get on my back for not laughing at the things they laugh at, but I really don't have to. I don't expect people to laugh at the same things I laugh at, because I'm pretty sure that nobody else is me.


Laughing is not my reason for being here, anyways. The jokes people tend to make about Twilight and Harry Potter aren't very humorous.

Some people just can't take jokes. It's really annoying, actually. Let's take the Lord of the Rings Episode of South Park for an example. They make a brief Harry Potter joke (bashing it) and, as a Potterhead, I laughed for about 10 মিনিট straight and replayed it several times. Harry Potter অনুরাগী were outraged when they saw it. It's like, seriously, it's just a joke. Just as long as আপনি think Harry Potter is good then who cares about with Parker and Stone say.

An example for Twilight fans: Stephen King/Emma Watson's opinions on the Twilight Saga. Both ব্যক্ত that they didn't like it and got horrible comeback and even death threats in return. Twilight অনুরাগী are আরো extreme than Potter অনুরাগী and it's like they think (not grouping them all together don't flip out) that if আপনি don't think that Twilight is the best thing ever then you're 'retarded','gay','stupid', and 'jealous'. It's their opinions. Relax.

I do get annoyed when some people would write a paragraph on how a joke is not true because it's just a joke. I don't expect everyone to laugh at them, but it seems really stupid to get smart on a joke.
I'm not laughing at the Edward is a fairy jokes, but I'm not going to say it's senseless to say that cause it's a joke, almost like a meme.
And trying to get smart on a meme makes it very awkward.

Because everyone handles things differently. Some people are just sensitive. Somethings it's just plain hard to tell if it's a joke অথবা not.

Because we're not robots who've been created on a conveyer বেল্ট to be exactly the same.

Beyond what's already been said, I'd like to point out that this spot is a বিতর্ক spot of sorts. Pointing out the flaws of things (jokes included) comes with the territory.
