remember I told you about my compare and contrast essay? well, here's my opening paragraph:
When comparing a book and a film, or something similar, the first thing one thinks about is obviously the plot. And in Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, at first glance, you'll find it's rather similar in both the book and the film. Harry, Ron and Hermione go to Hogwarts. They're shocked when they find out that Severus Snape has been named Defence Against the Dark Arts Professor. They start to suspect that Draco Malfoy has been made a Death Eater. They go to visit Hogsmeade and are shocked when Katie Bell is cursed. Basically, in both the book and the film, they have a normal start to their school year – as normal as a year at Hogwarts can be.

Bender - I used to go out on a bender quite frequently when I was at university. Luckily bender doesn't only mean a gay man, it also means a pub crawl or a heavy drinking session. The sort of bender I went out on was the second kind. Obviously!
