Lady in a Power Suit: Many important people wear suits, and some of them are women. They are cool, calm and certain. They will not take any man's trash talk, and are total badasses. The trope is for the powerful women demonstrating their prowess through an equally powerful suit.

Brainy Brunette: The brunette uses her smarts for her ambitions. If she is on the main character's side, you can always count on her smarts to fix any situation. She tends to favor her intelligence over her physical strength.

Girls with Guns: A strong female lead being awesome with firearms. The trope is meant to describe a female character who uses her strength and ability with weapons to best her enemies.

Kicking Ass in All Her Finery: Who says that being an ass-whupping action girl means you can't wear feminine, pretty, opulent clothes? The two can go hand-in-awesome-but-elegant-hand.

Final Girl: The last character left alive to confront the killer in a slasher movie. She'll most likely turn out to be more intelligent and resourceful than the other victims.

Deadpan Snarker: A character who exists to deflate pomposity, point out the unlikelihood of certain plans, and deliver funny lines. It implies that the snarker would make a good leader, strategist or consultant.

Action Girl: A female badass who is tough and kicks butt. She faces dangerous foes and deadly obstacles, and she wins.

Surrounded by idiots: A character who is intellectually superior to most people around her, and often feels frustrated and misunderstood by others. She is likely to do a lot eye-rolling and make snarky comments.

Took a Level in Badass: A character who becomes more emotionally and physically strong over time, in most cases due to some significant event or character transition. Basically the trope describes someone who used to be pretty standard, but has become significantly more badass.

Underestimating Badassery: A badass character who is underestimated by the people around her. Despite how she appears, the others don't consider her a real threat, but are usually proven wrong pretty quickly.

Broken Bird: A character who starts out as very sweet and innocent, but the more bad stuff that happens to them, the more cynical they become. They are often very emotionally strong for surviving such hardships, and eventually find a balance between sweet and badass.

Defrosting Ice Queen: She is the Ice Queen: cool, reserved, and giving nothing away. She may want love as ardently as anyone, but she masks her soft heart behind a wall of ice. It is up to someone else to soften her cold demeanor and win her love. As she "defrosts", she becomes more compassionate and open, but still retains her sarcastic nature.

Good is Not Nice: A character who is morally slanted towards the good side, but are rude, unfriendly and mean on many occasions. Their heart is in the right place, and they want what's best, but they don't always come off as the most pleasant people to be around. This is usually because of their reservations about opening up to people. Once they do, they usually have a hidden soft spot.

Knight in Sour Armor: A very cynical hero character who has been through a lot of stuff in their lives, and no longer believes in the good in everyone around them. Essentially, this character believes that most humans are in some way bad, but still cares about them anyway, and wants to help the people around them.

Heroic Self-Deprecation: No matter how much they do for the world or what their loyal friends tell them, they're still incapable of believing that they're anything more than useless. They're humble to a fault, and don't believe in their own potential.
