Why have Kate and Jack broken up?

Jack started to see his dead father and he thought he was going insane so he started to take perscription pills (i'm not sure which), and he became addicted to drugs and alcoholic. Then, Kate started to sneak around (to do what Sawyer asked her to before he jumped from the helicopter) and Jack started to get suspicious and jealous and they got in a big fight, where Jack ব্যক্ত that Kate wasn't related to Aaron when aaron was in the room. and Kate told him to leave because he was killing himself with his drug/alcohol problems

Jack and Kate began a very serious relationship short after their rescue. He moved into her home, and took over as the paternal figure to Aaron -- something which pleased Kate. The two seemed to be thoroughly and genuinely happy together. Jack asked her to marry him, and she happily accepted.
