As it turned out, this wasn't false, Rarity DID teach her the gem finding spell.

"Fine.. But on one condition" Sweetie ঘণ্টা insisted.

"What NOW" Rover groaned.

"You have to piggy back me" Sweetie ঘণ্টা told him.

"Wha- No!" Rover cried.

Ironically, and with great annoyance to him, Rover is shown having to piggy back Sweetie Bell.
