The film rights for the Lucky One has been sold to Warner Brothers with Douglas McGrath attached to direct the film.[2]
Variety reports that the bestselling novel, The Lucky One, by Nicholas Sparks is headed to the big screen. The movie will be produced by Denise Di Novi who has previously brought three other Sparks novels to the cinema—Nights in Rodanthe; A Walk to Remember; and Message in a Bottle. Zac Efron will play the lead role, Logan Thibault.[3] Taylor Schilling has been cast as Elizabeth.
