"The Last Song" is described as "A drama centered on a rebellious young woman who is sent to spend the summer with her estranged father."
The novel is due for release in September 2009 and the movie in 2010 with filming to commence this June; it's already confirmed to star Miley Cyrus.

I've read the book! It's fantastic, although it made me cry a lot, can't wait to see the movie :-)
