This is my poem about the Brisbane floods.

Water rising, cars colliding
lives are হারিয়ে গেছে at such a cost
why do they die
are আপনি surprised

buildings fall, হারিয়ে গেছে forever
in a deep deep pool of sorrow
all out of the blue
through and through the oceans are narrow

hundreds maimed and gone
a boy dies to save his brother
why oh why cause such suffering
for these floods there shall never be another

such a cost lives are lost
some are mainly duds
