MILLIONS of wills, including those of Princess Diana and Winston Churchill, have been made available to download for just $20.
The joint project between HM Courts and Tribunal Service and Iron Mountain, a storage and information management firm, has made 41 million wills dating back to 1858 available.
As well as Princess Diana and Churchill, they include the last testaments of Winne the Pooh author AA Milne, 1984 author George Orwell and economist John Maynard Keynes.

The documents have long been publicly available but will now be accessible online to meet the growing demand from amateur historians and those tracing family trees.
“It is a fantastic resource not only for family historians but also for anyone with an interest in social history or famous figures,” Courts Minister Shailesh Vara said.
They offer a glimpse at the life and times of many famous people.
No fuss ... Charles Dickens instructed that he be buried quickly and cheaply. Picture: Getty
For example, Dickens’ handwritten will dated May 12, 1869 seems to give weight to the theory that he had an affair with a young actress named Nelly Ternan, by leaving her 1000 pounds.
He also used his will to instruct that he be buried quietly and without fuss.
“I emphatically direct that I be buried in an inexpensive, unostentatious, and strictly private manner; that no public announcement be made of the time or place of my burial; that at the utmost not more than three plain mourning coaches be employed; and that those who attend my funeral wear no scarf, cloak, black bow, long hatband, or other such revolting absurdity,” he wrote.
While Orwell, who died in 1950, instructed that all his writing be preserved, Keynes, who died in 1946, wanted most of his unpublished works to be destroyed.
