If আপনি could, can আপনি tell me how to know where to shade on a drawing without a picture to draw from?

I usually choose a direction that the light comes from, and imagine the object is real and where there would be shadows, e.g. on the side of a persons nose, around their eyes, etc.
Is there any cure to depression atm other than pills? I hate taking pills, and im depressed.. its really bad... I dont even feel anything anymore, just tired. I also cut myself, is there any way to stop that?
