Why do people obsess so much over celebrities?

I just don't see what the big deal is....
I mean, they are just another person. They're no much আরো of a human being then anyone else out there. Why do people make such a huge deal out of them? I get if আপনি like their অভিনয় অথবা music, but what's the point of spending your time learning every little detail about someone আপনি don't even know. Chances are you're never going to meet them face to face, and even if আপনি do you're just one out of the millions of other obsessive fans. It doesn't really do anything for your own benefit.
I mean, your neighbor across the রাস্তা is just your neighbor across the রাস্তা but if they were to suddenly become famous would আপনি begin to stalk them and learn everything there is to them.

What do আপনি guys think?

I totally agree. যশস্বী are people too, just like us. Yes, there are a few out there that have pretty good acting/singing skills, and I do like some of them, but I wouldn't try to stalk them. Chances are, I don't even know their personality, and who they truly are. Now, fictional characters...that's another thing. xD

It's because to some, they're নায়ক and inspirations. They give young kids something to aspire to be. They can give আপনি hope and once আপনি get to know a celebrity well enough আপনি can start falling in প্রণয় with them, not in a creepy stalker way but in a really true way. আপনি start to care about them, because yes, they are human, and that makes everything they've accomplished even আরো amazing. It doesn't matter if আপনি ever meet them face-to-face, it's enough to support them through everything they do.

I suppose none of the people I've come to care so much about would actually qualify as "celebrities," people like Austin Carlile and Kellin Quinn, but I get the feeling. These guys save lives, and fuck they've gotten me through some of the worst times of my life, and I feel like I owe them a lot. That's why I care so much about them. And no I haven't met either of those guys yet, but the thing is, I know their অনুরাগী mean the world to them. Austin says it all the time, and he's been moved to tears when people chant his name at shows. It's really amazing how much we can mean to him. And the benefit? It's a family. It's all the people আপনি meet because of your obsessions. It's the way আপনি can make a new friend in ten সেকেন্ড because আপনি have that one person in common. It's how they make আপনি feel like আপনি can accomplish so much and how they are your inspiration to just keep going.

So that's why I think people obsess so much over these people. ^^
