We read it in my class and took a field trip to see the movie, too. I did not cry, but nor did I think it was stupid. I just don't like book adaptations. I didn't like it when we took a trip to see "Bridge to Terabithia" or "Holes" any better. To me, "Freak the Mighty" was just a book with a sad ending. Not a favorite, but I have nothing against it.
