Long প্রশ্ন about the swiss german.

When I went to Switzerland I couldn't understand what they were saying, even though I speak German. I know the dialect is very different but are the words different too? I was hoping that some of আপনি Swiss guys could tell me :)

But of course every place his it's different nuances and if আপনি spend some time with a particular group আপনি will end up understanding them (I'm Dutch and could figure it out after a while), but don't ask me to talk Swiss German because I wouldn't know how to...

Any words are diffrent, but when আপনি speaks German the most people understand আপনি and speak German with you. It comes on it where আপনি goes, so the Wallis has a very specially Swissgerman and I don't understand it, even I'm Swiss.
