Why did my family change while I was gone?

I was working on Family #1 for a while, and they had three kids. Then, I decided to take a break and switch active households to work on Family #2. When I went back to Family #1 দ্বারা switching active households again, and their kids had grown up and there was an additional toddler, and I didn't even have them Try for Baby!

So in Sims 3, do families just change, add আরো kids, kids grow up, etc. if আপনি leave them? If so, I hate that!

Also, I did have Family #2 visit Family #1 once অথবা twice when I was playing them. Does that have to do with it?

Yes, tragic i know. That's the only reason not many ppl like Sims 3- because once আপনি leave the game, it automaticly keeps going for you.
আপনি can change this however!
Go to your settings and after messing around with it আপনি can set the game to not progress everyones lives while ur gone :D

Actually, no it doesn't. Only when আপনি switch families.

If আপনি did, then that would have happened. If you:
[Menu>Switch Family]
then that probably wouldn't of happened.

It has never happened to me because I don't switch active households. I হারিয়ে গেছে my lesbian family doing that.

If আপনি do that, they can do whatever they want while your on Family #2. Sorry, but that's the sad thing about Sims. You'll have to start making new families rather than switching active households if আপনি want it your way.

Ohh, okay. I didn't see the option for switching families, but I'll have to look for that.

আপনি click the (...) at the bottom corner of your screen and click Main Menu. Hope this helped.

They should have an option to disable story progression in Sims 4!
