25 David Tennant GIFs to celebrate his ‘Doctor Who’ 10th anniversary 

It’s been 10 years since “Doctor Who” launched into the David Tennant era with the premiere of Season 2. While Tennant was first introduced in the Season 1 finale, it wasn’t until the episode “New Earth” — which premiered on April 15, 2006 — that Whovians got a full idea of what Tennant brought to the Doctor.

From his epic adventures — and love story — with Rose (Billie Piper) to the shenanigans he got into with Donna (Catherine Tate), the 10th Doctor’s three seasons were among the best in the history of “Doctor Who” and will never be replicated. After all, where would we be as a fandom without the Doctor’s reunion with Sarah Jane (Elisabeth Sladen) or the introduction of Captain Jack Harkness (John Barrowman)? A world without Barrowman isn’t one anyone should want to live in.
