In "Pardon My Scotch", when the stooges first mix up and serve their scotch, they টোস্ট the man. What is the টোস্ট that Larry says and what does it mean? It sounds like "Verr gehaget."

Larry says "Terrier Haggis" It's gaelic. There are 3 Gaelic languages: Scottish Gaelic, Irish and Manxbut. Larry's টোস্ট is আরো a play on words, such as Moe & Curly's টোস্ট were. ক্ষুদ্রকায় কুকুর (as is scottish terrier) and Haggis, a dish containing sheep's 'pluck' (heart, liver and lungs) It is traditionally cooked in a sheep's stomach (yuck!) :o)

"Ver G'harget," meaning "drop dead" in Yiddish. You'll find Yiddish words and sayings incorporated into the Stooges script occasionally.

Of course it's Yiddish! Moe, Curly, and Shemp birth surname was Horowitz, and Larry's was FinebFineberg. Almost anytime a 'foreign' language was needed in the script, they spoke Yiddish, অথবা some manglish thereof.
