End of Chapter 9

"I heard we needed a doctor," Carlisle ব্যক্ত as he entered. "Lucky enough Alice caught me while I was in North America."
Searching through his thoughts, he was half wondering how I can stand breathing in this room. I was even surprised. I haven't hunted for six weeks. And yet I was breathing, no attention towards my thirst, at all.
"This will take a little while. Jacob, please take Edward out if you're going to yell at him," Carlisle said.
I looked at Jacob. Ready to kill me was a better explanation. I walked with him until we were outside. Then he turned on me.
"Will আপনি explain why you're here, and why আপনি care if Bella's dead?" He asked, gritting his teeth in the process. I opened my mouth, but no words came out. I was too guilty.

Chapter 10

"Well?" Jacob growled. All of his thoughts were on how tortured Bella was during my absence. I winced when I saw her squeezing herself when Jacob mentioned my name.
"I can't... Explain," I struggled.
"Bella told me আপনি no longer loved her. Why come back, when she just started to come back to life?"
"I never-"
"Bella has been tortured time and time again. I feel its best if আপনি leave."
"Please, Jacob, listen to me! I brought Bella into আরো danger than her luck can conjure up itself. I still loved her! I left to give her a safer chance in life. When Alice told me what would happen, I ran to Forks to find her. I'm going to Italy if this ends badly."
"Taking a vacation?" Jacob sneered.
"No. Killing myself."
Jacob's eyes went wide. I explained to him who the Volturi were. Then I explained her birthday to him, all the way down to my believing leaving would help. I was so stupid. If I stayed, nothing like this would've happened.
Now it was Jacob's turn to explain. He told me every agonizing detail, relishing the fact that all he ব্যক্ত was worse than burning me alive.
And to think she loved you, he thought. That's an insult.
"Like আপনি never loved her," I ব্যক্ত to him.
Jacob turned red with anger.
"I would've been safer for her, I'd never even hurt her! আপনি would attack her if she got a papercut! আপনি ব্যক্ত so yourself!"
"I held my breath. I would never lose my control. আপনি saw yourself, I was breathing in that room, I don't want to shy away from her, even if she died."
"That may be sooner than আপনি thought," Jacob growled.

We stood there, silent, waiting for Carlisle to give us bad news. I couldn't hear Bella's heartbeat, because we were too far from my room.
The front door opened. Carlisle came out.
"She's fine, but আপনি can't see her for a while. She's unconscious. And Edward, if her হৃদয় rate goes up, আরো blood will come out of her wound. We have to wait until it is healed. Alice called. She will heal just fine, and will be able to walk again in a couple of days. Alice will be here in a few hours. আপনি two can wait inside," he said.
Jacob followed me in. As soon as I reached the hall, I heard a steady pulse. Jacob curled up on the পালঙ্ক in the living room, but I took the familiar position of a ball in the corner of the room. I went into my daydreams, all of which centered around me holding Bella in my arms again, feeling her warmth.
Bella looked at me. Her eyes were soft, like they were the days before her birthday. She loved me, and I loved her. We were in our meadow, in each others' arms. I heard the trickle of the stream nearby. Actually, I could hear the buzzing of a bee five meters away. But all I listened to was her breathing, and her heartbeat. I heard her gentle laugh. Her hand stroked my cheek, which was shimmering in the sunlight. I smiled at her. It was like the fog that covered my হৃদয় melted away, and I could feel all my emotions coming out again.
I opened my eyes. Three people were outside the room. Jacob was asleep on the couch, holding the same position I left him in. I got up and shook his shoulder. He jumped up. Then he saw it was just me and sat back down. We looked up as the door opened.
Alice and Carlisle were in immediately, and then we saw Bella.
She was dressed in a lovely blue ব্লাউজ and a cream skirt. Her hair was straighened, and a light blue eyeshadow complemented her eyes. The blush was natural. She turned red when she saw us both in the room. Jacob was gazing at her like she was a goddess, while I looked at her like she was the world.
"Um, thanks, Alice, Carlisle," Bella whispered. Alice and Carlisle hugged her and left the room. I started to walk towards her, but she held up her hand to stop me.
"I want to take a মিনিট to figure this out," she said.
We explained everything, and then we told her we both loved her. Bella's eyes watered.Then she walked towards me. Her arms wrapped around me, and I squeezed her tightly. I didn't want to let go. But she pulled away, forcing me to end our embrace.
I watched her as she walked to Jacob, and hugged him too. Jacob buried his face in her hair, his thoughts confused. Then Bella looked up. She stood on her toes and kissed him. Pain washed over me. She had moved on. I left the room. I walked slowly, hoping she might come after me. I may have imagined it, but before I could leave the house, I felt a warm hand connect to mine.

Yay! Bella's alive! No! She kissed Jacob! What now? Ooh! I know! Jacob's POV!!!

Bella kissed me. She actually kissed me! This could only be a dream, especially since she kissed me with Edward present. Stupid bloodsucker. I held her tighter as Edward left the room. The door clicked as it closed.
Bella jumped away, and saw that Edward was gone. Confusion swept over me as she ran towards the door, opened it quickly, and ran out towards the front door.
