Do আপনি think the Twilight series would have been better if Edward would have had some 'weaknesses' অথবা 'imperfections'?

Anne Rice's ভ্যাম্পায়ার didn't need an invitation to go into people's houses. I guess she just made up a যেভাবে খুশী creature and called just it 'vampire' too.

Dracula could go out in the sun. I guess Bram Stoker just made up a যেভাবে খুশী creature and slapped the শিরোনাম "vampire" on it. Dracula's not a real vampire. He's an imposter. Everyone knows that.

Every vampire in literature, movies, culture, and t.v. shows have had their own weaknesses and strengths. There are no set rules for vampires.

Edward has his own weaknesses. He can be killed. He can starve. He has rules he has to follow.

Also: it's a romance story. Romance stories consist of the damsel (or the male counter-part) being in distress, and being saved দ্বারা the knight (or female counter-part). That's why they're called "romance" stories and not "murder" stories.

What Stephenie Meyer did was take away a few "traditional" physical restrictions (like pretty much all vampire writers do), and add a few moral and social restrictions.

If you're not into morality, অথবা just simply don't care about morality when it comes to vampires, then I can completely understand why আপনি don't like what she did.

I personally don't see how avoiding sunlight অথবা asking permission to enter a house would have contributed anything at all to the story. All it would do would please people who think all ভ্যাম্পায়ার must abide দ্বারা a strict checklist.

One of my পছন্দ thing about ভ্যাম্পায়ার is that each person can interpret them in their own way, and they can still be vampires. It gets kind of annoying when people suggest that all ভ্যাম্পায়ার must be the same. That's a very boring concept.

Exactly! Every vampire book that i have come across the ভ্যাম্পায়ার had some imperfection(i don't think sparkling does count as an imperfection cause bella thinks it's so 'beautiful...') why couldn't it be the opposite way round.. then maybe it wouldn't be considered so degrading a sexist to women

and also if he wasn't such a pedo i mean seriously even if আপনি 'love' someone why would আপনি watch them in their sleep!

just because edward drinks blood that does not make him a vampire. there are other qualitys that আপনি need to be a vampire

he does have a weakness and her name is Bella.he does have imperfections,he thinks he is a monster, that he doesnt deserve someone like Bella,just like she feels she doesnt deserve him.they are two halves of a whole,only together are they complete.

Of course Edward had weaknesses and imperfections. But, the story is told from Bella's perspective and she doesn't see any of those things. If Stephenie ever publishes the book from Edwards POV we would probably learn all of his weaknesses and imperfections and see Bella as this perfect creature, because that's how he sees things. Think about it, if আপনি were telling a story about the man/woman আপনি were in প্রণয় with, wouldn't আপনি build them up to make them look perfect?
