If there\'s one thing we\'ve learned from the X-Men movies, it\'s that humans are an intolerant lot.
Whether it\'s mobs, government authorized registration acts, or just good old fashioned irrational hatred, the baying crowds of anti-mutant activism are never too far from our heroes lives - making the X-Men all the more effective a metaphor for other persecuted groups in our society, who go through the same struggles day after day.
Sometimes, though, that intolerance doesn\'t just touch the lives of our heroes, though - it takes them. And it doesn\'t always stop at the borders of prominent super-heroism, either.
For instance, remember back in X-Men: Days of Future Past, when Mystique infiltrates Bolivar Trask\'s office, and uncovers those shocking autopsy images of her friends from X-Men: First Class?
Well, as it turns out, those weren\'t the only victims of Trask\'s inability to see mutants as being equal to the rest of humanity.
So, these shocking images of Angel (Zoe Kravitz)?
They aren\'t the worst you\'ll see. The recently launched X-Men viral campaign to promote the DVD release of
Days of Future Past has already gone in a distinctive direction, combining the cherubic Tandem Initiative with the crusading pro-mutant group M-Underground.
The twist? M-Underground uncovered the images above on the Tandem Initiative\'s servers - meaning the group is far from what it seems.
They\'re also, though, an intriguing glimpse into what could be a fascinating viral campaign - and one that\'s actually far truer to the X-Men\'s campaigning, issue-driven comic-book roots than most of the cinematic adaptations. In particular, Chris Claremont and Brent Anderson\'s 1982 graphic novel, X-Men: God Loves, Man Kills - on which X2 was loosely based - springs to mind.
The big question now? What\'s next for X-Men: Days Of Future Past\'s viral campaign?
