It was called ‘X-Men’ চলচ্চিত্র Rumor: McAvoy & Fassbender To Return After ‘Apocalypse’
Here's some stuff I remembered seeing:
in 2016, 20th Century Fox will finish the trilogy it started back in
. It’s confirmed Gambit, Deadpool, and Wolverine have spinoffs in the next few years, but the cinematic future of many mutants – such as Jennifer Lawrence’s Mystique, James McAvoy’s Professor Xavier, and Michael Fassbender’s Magneto – remains uncertain.
Jennifer Lawrence has said she’d like to reprise the role of Mystique in the future, though many fans have been left wondering about the status of James McAvoy’s Professor X and Michael Fassbender’s Magneto. The X-Men franchise has a rich comics mythos to draw from, and a lot of compelling material involving the two remains unadapted for the big screen. Hence, it’s not too difficult to swallow new reports claiming
will not mark the end of McAvoy and Fassbender’s time in the X-Men cinematic universe.
, Fassbender and McAvoy have reached an agreement to keep playing their
report also claims Fox is interested in having Nicholas Hoult (Hank McCoy/Beast) and Lawrence return, though the latter currently “
” to reprise as Mystique. It’s worth noting that although Lawrence has expressed “
alter ego down the road, she’s also indicated before that
This report comes shortly after actor Channing Tatum closed his deal to play the mutant Remy LeBeau/Gambit in the solo movie scheduled to arrive in 2016. Also concerning the future of the X-Men franchise: Hugh Jackman has made it clear that the 2017
movie will be his final time wearing Logan’s claws, while Hoult has said before that he enjoys playing Beast and that
he wasn’t certain whether or not he’d play as Magneto after
” as Magneto. The actor may soon add yet another successful movie franchise to his name, as he’s gong to headline the
video game adaptation that begins shooting in September 2015. Thereafter, Fassbender is poised to reunite with director Ridley Scott to make the
sequel, as the project is (reportedly) now set to start filming in January 2016.
Nonetheless, the possibility of both Fassbender and McAvoy continuing to appear in
isn’t so far-fetched. The two actors have fantastic chemistry together and give excellent performances, while their characters play pivotal roles in the
cinematic universe. There appears to be interest from the pair to continue doing so, too. It’s even possible the duo are being eyed to serve as the “glue” holding the
franchise together, as Fox continues to expand the brand – with a
crossover a possibility down the line (assuming director Josh Trank’s fast-approaching
movie reboot doesn’t fall flat on its face, anyway).

However, recasting a character isn’t exactly uncommon for Fox when it comes to the X-Men series. Case in point: McAvoy and Fassbender are playing the younger versions of characters previously brought to life in Bryan Singer’s first
will feature several younger versions of mutants (like Scott Summers/Cyclops) played by different actors in
films past. (A comparatively organic way of “rebooting” characters, so to speak.)
Hopefully, the report does pan out because Fassbender and McAvoy have a gripping dynamic during their
movie scenes together. One can only imagine how the conflict with
will alter the relationship between McAvoy’s Professor X and Fassbender’s Magneto (what with the latter being one of Apocalypse’s Four Horsemen in the film) and where the story with those versions of the characters could go from there. The duo has received a lot of insight since the very first
movie, but with the right script, they can still be incorporated without hogging the spotlight from others.
