will soon be arriving on Blu-ray, DVD and digital home media means that the next few weeks will surely be filled with previews of material we didn\'t see on the big screen this summer. A perfect example is this brand new deleted scene featuring Sophie Turner\'s Jean Grey doing a bit of archery - while also exercising her telekinetic abilities.
This "X-Men: Apocalypse" deleted scene shows us even more of Queen Jean Grey.

Admittedly most of this clip actually is featured in the theatrical cut of
, including the entire opening where Scott Summers/Cyclops (Tye Sheridan) is being introduced to Professor Xavier (James McAvoy) by his older brother, Alex Summers/Havoc (Lucas Till). After that point, however, this Buzzfeed exclusive joins up with Jean Grey a bit earlier than the full blockbuster does - watching her both practice archery and work on her mutant gifts simultaneously. It\'s not hard to see why this sequence was ultimately deemed unnecessary, as the movie had already established Jean\'s abilities with her introduction: bumping into Scott and catching her falling textbooks with her mind.
Additionally, I will also say that it\'s a bit weird to have that shot of Jean Grey aiming away from the target. If the audience doesn\'t know better, it\'s a pretty threatening look that somewhat suggests that she has it in her mind to harm some of the other students at Xavier\'s School.
As mentioned earlier, this is probably only the start of
material that will find its way online thanks to the home video release - and we expect that there will be a lot more to come. Specifically, when I spoke with the film\'s director earlier this year he teased an extended sequence that sees Cyclops, Jean Grey, Nightcrawler (Kodi Smit-McPhee) and Jubilee (Lana Condor) hanging out at the local mall 1980s-style. Hopefully we will get a glimpse at what that scene has to offer in the coming weeks.
For those curious when they can pick up their own copy of
, the movie will be available for digital download starting this Friday, September 9th, and those who prefer to own physical copies of their media will be able to get a copy of the Blu-ray or DVD on October 4th. In the meantime, be sure to stay tuned for more content from the comic book movie.
