She is more able to be herself with Jake than with Matty. And Jake really cares about her.

Why does everyone forgive Matty for being such a jerk season 1?! If he realizes late that he was a jerk, well too bad. Any sparks Matty and Jenna have is purely physical. When they weren't physical how many conversations did they have? Hardly any. With Jake, he was sweet, understanding and talked to her! I can't believe how many girls care more about looks than personality. Matty has the looks but Jake has the personality. Jake is an ideal guy. Matty is just a fantasy that all girls think will be the perfect man.
