Merging and Editing Pictures Using FotoFlexer

I remember visiting this website once...
It was called Crossover Tutorial (Using FotoFlexer) - ডিজনি crossover - ফ্যানপপ
Here's some stuff I remembered seeing:
Okay, so I know some of you are having a hard time using Pixlr and following my first crossover tutorial. So I decided to find an alternative way of making crossover pictures that are
In this article, I\'m going to teach you how to make a crossover using FotoFlexer, one of the 4 editing sites I explained in my article.
So let\'s start by uploading the first image you\'re going to make as a crossover. I\'ll be using dear Milo here.
"Layers" tab and click "Add Images" to upload the second image. (I used Jane here)
"Geek" tab and click "Smart Scissors". Now this is a very useful tool and much easier than the
magic wand tool in Pixlr since all you need to do is to click the outlines of your desired part of the image and it will
to the lines of the image. Be sure to end it from where you\'ve started.
As soon as you\'ve finished clicking through the whole outline, the rest of the image will be dimmed and then click
After that, just click the cutout image and drag it to where you want it to be,
"Basic" tab and click "Flip Canvas Horizontally" to change the direction of the image. *
Edit the appearance of the image (if you want) to make it blend with the other picture. Then click one of the image and
hold the Shift key while clicking the second image. Then go to "Layers" tab and click "Merge" to make it into a single image.
And so there you have it. I hope this was easier to understand. Feel free to ask questions and I hope to see some of your crossovers now. :D
This was great! I find myself using pixlr more for color editing, the cropping and masking are really complicated to work with. I\'ll have to try this site out, it looks very simple! Cute pic to ^^
it\'s interesting to see how you do things chesire. You do it totally different than the way I do it. the way I do it is us the selection tool to go around the character, I go really close to the edges of the character. then I go into the quick mask mode and edit the part I don\'t want. I don\'t know if it is available in all editing programs or not. but here\'s how it works I enter it by clicking shift+Q( it may be different in other programs you may have to search for it) and it will show your selection with the background in red. then you use the paint brush and with black you can paint the parts of the background, it will show as red. I here\'s the nice bit if you actidentally paint some of the character or you missed it in you selecting you can use white to take away the red. When I\'m done with that I exit the quick mask mode with shift+Q and then copy my selection and paste it with the other picture I want to make a crossover with. I do lots of other fun thing like make it look like the two character are hugging or something. but I want get into that now this has already being long enough. Hope I didn\'t confuse people more just wanted to share a piece of how I do it.
CaterdayGirl, Hmm, it seems more complicated and needs more editing skills, but the results of your work always turn out really great. :D Your technique is very similar with the "Smart Cutout" of FotoFlexer, I suck at painting parts of the image though, I\'m not that concentrated in painting details. :P
You have no idea how much detail I go into on some of my crossovers. Actually lately I\'ve gotten so good at selecting that I don\'t even need the quick mask mode. I get that close around the edges. and yes I would say this is higher editing skills than what you\'ve been talking about. I\'ve taken a photoshop class before so I picked up lots of techniques. I tried the smart cutout and I didn\'t like it. it\'s like using the quick mask mode without selecting first and I find it kind of hard to use. anyways it doesn\'t really matter what techniques you both yours and mine work with great results.
Like this, but I prefer Pixlr for me is more easier(:
I might try using this site. I only use Paint to make my crossovers, and of course Pixlr/Picnik for the editing parts.
I might try this. I like Pixlr but it gets annoying when I have to erase the background lol..
I like the whole Smart Scissors thing, it takes me way less time but I find that if I need to resize the image I cant figure out how to do that and then I have to do that on Pixlr and it ends up taking forever.
^Just click the picture and drag any of the squares found at the corners of the picture. -- http://i.imgur.com/TX953.png
Yay! I\'ve done more than one crossover with this method and website! Yay! Yay yay yay! I\'m so proud of myself! Are you proud? \'Cause I\'m proud! Thank you SO much!!!
Where can I show you my pictures chesire? I REALLY want to! Please tell me how to show everyone my pictures that I have done. Thanks! :D 8D
You can upload the pictures in this club, just click the \'add photo\' in the images section of this spot. :)
This is So cool ty for posting i was able to make my first pic.
For some reason when I add another pic the 2nd picture is smaller than the 1st and the 1st seems like its too big for the work station in that the whole picture isn\'t shown at once. Only part of it is and resizing it doesn\'t help.
^Maybe the size of the picture is too small. Try uploading the larger one first because I think the window size depends on the size of the first uploaded image.
Okay,i\'m trying to make that Cody and Jenny crossover i\'v\'e been talking about for awhile now,how do i put the two images of them side by side?
^Just click one of the pictures and drag them to where you want to put it.
Alright,i\'ll try that,as long i don\'t mess up on the Create Cutout part.
I wish I had seen this when I first started to make crossovers. But I do use fotoflexer to cut out and make the crossovers. Then I use pixlr.com/express/ to do the effects, borders, and signature.
^I guess you didn\'t need this tutorial after all.
Thanks. I kind of fumbled around and tinkered till I figured it out.
I loved this tutorial, thank you very much!!
Usually I just use paint.net for the main body and \'\'beautify\'\' somewhere else, but despite some initial trouble I really like this, I\'l have to try that pixlr thing as well if all of them are this good :d
Very clear tutorial too, not overly complicated or anything.
Thank you. I\'ve had such a hard time with others. ;D
It could just be me, but i get the feeling that FotoFlexer has changed since i last used it.
I would like to report a bug: Every time i try to edit the last image, it disappears when i click Smart Scissors. Is it because iv\'e reached my limit of three images per edit? What i\'m trying to do paste Aladdin\'s face onto Rowlf the Dog for a Something So Right edit i\'m working on, but the only way i can do that is if FotoFlexer lets me use the Smart Scissors on him.
Thank you so much for this!! Very helpful! I was using Paint and it sucked.
^I\'m so glad this tutorial is still helpful to others. You\'re welcome!
I\'ve been making all of my cutouts using Paint as well, and it\'s certainly time consuming. I haven\'t created anything Disney themed, but I love making and sharing wallpapers.
Thank you so much for sharing this! I\'ll definitely have to take a look at FotoFlexer when I get the chance.
