I remember visiting this website once...
It was called Foo Fighters Rock চুম্বন + Rush Classics in Rio de Janiero
Here's some stuff I remembered seeing:
8-Bit Video Game: Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth, Anthrax
Foo Fighters Rock KISS + Rush Classics at Rio de Janiero Show
Simply put — Foo Fighters like to play. And whether that means their own hits or the hits of others, it doesn’t really matter, so long as it makes for a good rock show and gets the audience going. In recent years the band has performed epic shows and they keep things fresh with a variety of cover songs. During a recent show in Rio de Janeiro, that meant bringing out some classics from the likes of KISS and Rush.
As seen in the video above, Foo Fighters really come to life rocking out to the KISS favorite ‘Detroit Rock City.’ The song recently opened Dave Grohl‘s birthday bash in Los Angeles with none other that Paul Stanley coming out to sing the classic. But in the video above, Grohl does a solid job of handling vocals while the band rocks out.
After ‘Detroit Rock City,’ the group launches into the Rush favorite ‘Tom Sawyer.’ Fans may remember a couple years back when Dave Grohl and Taylor Hawkins were granted the honor of inducting Rush into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and their love of Rush just continues to carry over into sets.
The video above comes from a full concert recorded in Rio de Janeiro and those who stick with the remainder of the video will also catch the band playing covers of The Faces‘ ‘Stay With Me’ featuring Taylor Hawkins on vocals as well as Hawkins and Grohl sharing vocals on the Queen / David Bowie favorite ‘Under Pressure.’
Fans will have plenty of opportunity to see Foo Fighters this year as the band is booked pretty solid supporting their ‘Sonic Highways’ disc. To see where they’re playing, click here.
