One of my favourite things about SVU is the amazing dialogue the charcters have. Here is a selection from season 1.

Narrator: In the criminal justice system sexually based offenses are considered especially heinous. In New York City the dedicated detectives who investigate these vicious felonies are members of a elite squad known as the Special Victims Unit. These are their stories.

(Cragen chews out Olivia for not arresting a woman who then committed suicide.)

So, who would stand দ্বারা her husband when he’s accused of being a serial rapist?

Actress Gayatri Bahl was brought in to do exactly that in last night’s “Decaying Morality” episode of LAW & ORDER: SVU.

I had a chance to catch up with Gayatri Bahl to find out আরো about her experience working on the show.


What can আপনি tell us about your role in “Law & Order: SVU”?

GAYATRI: I play the wife of the prominent dentist, Dr. Neil Alexander, played দ্বারা Paul Adelstein ("Scandal," "Private Practice"), who gets caught up in the investigation.

How was it to work alongside this veteran cast?...

Olivia stepped into the group প্রথমপাতা ran দ্বারা a church near her apartment. She was greeted দ্বারা one of the nuns Sister Peg.
"Olivia, nice to see you. How is your job and Elliot?" she asked.
"My job is tough but i can handle it. Elliot's doing alright. Umm...remember that..."
"Oh yes! Right this way!" Sister Peg lead Olivia to a community room where their was children everywhere playing, talking and laughing. Olivia smiled and was about to walk in when she heard...
"NO! I don't want to!" she heard a voice say from the পরবর্তি room.
"Come on Jennifer, যোগদান the other kids." Sister Peg's voice pleaded.
Olivia...

Elliot had always had trouble at home, but nothing as bad as this...
He always had someone to talk to with Kathy and the kids at home,
but not this time.
He always found reliance in Olivia.
So, he went to her apartment.
She had invited him in, as usual..
oblivious of what was wrong with Elliot.
As they sat down on the couch, a tear slid down his face...
'What's the matter?', Olivia said.
'Kathy left me, Olivia.' he said.
Then tears flowed down is face as he buried his face in his hands.
He'd always hated প্রদর্শিত হচ্ছে his emotions... especially around Olivia
Olivia rapped her arms around him, trying to comfort...

Maybe Tonight...Maybe I'll fall...Maybe he'll crash through my walls...maybe at last প্রণয় will come back and take me deep into his arms...Maybe the heart, that falls apart finally wins...Maybe tonight I'll finally fall in প্রণয় again...

Olivia sat slumped at her desk. The squad room was empty, that was why she was here. Tears rolled from her cheeks, falling softly onto the letter she was clutching. It was cruel. Her boyfriend had broken up with her...Through a letter. He didn't even have the guts to say it to her face.

It was then she felt a familiar hand on her shoulder.
"You alright, Liv?"...

Warning - gets kind of personal, maybe not a fun read. I'd have emailed it directly to any of the show's writers if I could have found the contact info.

I watch the show, not on a regular basis, but when I do with a religious intensity. It's a kind of catharsis for me, as an in-the-closet survivor, to see people surviving, being honored, being supported and the detectives fighting for them. So it's a very personal experience, almost a therapy, and even though I know it's just a TV প্রদর্শনী I take it very personally.

One thing about it bothers me - the fact that there are no survivors on the team....
