Canada supports the সেকেন্ড largest gray নেকড়ে population in the world, after Russia. নেকড়ে habitat is diverse in this large country where, historically, নেকড়ে ranged in most areas. Currently, নেকড়ে in Canada occupy approximately 90 percent of their historic range (range lines not depicted). The 10 percentage without নেকড়ে is primarily near the southern border, except near Lake Superior where নেকড়ে still live. See individual provinces.

It was about this time that the newspapers were full of the daring escape of a convict from San Quentin prison. He was a ferocious man. He had been ill-made in the making.
