DJ TOM: Tom was DJing at Run To The Beat 10km [Chris Ayres]

The former boyband star has built a recording studio at home to write and produce the dance record which will feature vocals from other artists.

In my exclusive REHAB interview Tom revealed: "I\'m spending practically all day every day in the studio working on my own album.

"I\'m writing and producing it and plan to release it next year, but I don\'t think I will sing on it. I don\'t expect any of the group to feature on it either.

"I want to reinvent myself away from the band. I do really want to get Becky Hill from The Voice on a track though. I love her voice and loved her on the Gecko track."

I caught up with Tom after running Sure Run To The Beat last week. He revealed that he has turned down a string of reality TV offers to follow former bandmate Nathan Sykes down the solo route.

Tom said: "I\'ve been asked to do a lot of reality shows and I have thought about them.

"But if you go into that world straight away you get typecast.

"I love music and I want to give my music a serious go first. If it doesn\'t work out who knows I might like to do a reality TV show, there\'s a few that interest me."
