Fin stumbled back, running into another form behind her. She didn’t have to glance back to see who it was she’d run into. “You doin’ alright, Ep?”
“Fine,” the shifter grinned, smacking another guard away. “You have quite a history with these guys.”
“Eyup. I hate them, they hate me. Feelings are mutual between us.” She lit her hands on আগুন and blasted a couple of them away. “But these guys.. they seem different. They’re better fighters than the usual idiots I fight.”
“How so?”
“They may be weaker, but they’re আরো coordinated. I just don’t get it.” She dodged a kick to the head and punched another guy in the stomach.
He knocked one guy out and glanced closer at the eyes. “Oh, shit, it’s--”
Eric was interrupted দ্বারা a hiss of pain, and he turned to see Fin fall to her knees. “Freakin’...” was all that she muttered before she collapsed.
He glared. “Stupid Redstream!” he yelled, before shifting into Kid Flash and carrying her out as quick as possible. “Don’t আপনি do this to me, Kyra,” he murmured. Something wet was leaking onto his hands-- it seemed to be incredibly warm, too. Keep going, Eric. She can’t get better if she doesn’t get help.

Blinking a couple times, Fin winced as the lights of the infirmary hit her. “Goddammit,” she muttered. “Dumb infirmary. Dumb, overused, in-cave hospital that-”
“Seems to be your bedroom every night?” Eric laughed. Fin jolted up and saw him in a chair পরবর্তি to her cot, his blonde hair in a ট্যাঙ্গেল্ড mess. His eyes, though bright, were surrounded দ্বারা shadows, and he looked tired. His clothing was a mess and it looked as though he hadn’t gotten up from that spot in a long time.
“You haven’t slept once, have you?” she asked him, looking down at where her side was bandaged. He shook his head. “Nope.”
She shot him an exasperated look. “Why do আপনি do this?”
“Do what?” he asked, reaching over to a nearby stand and picking up a bottle of water.
“This, Eric, this. You’re always here waiting for me when I get hurt because I’m always getting hurt, and আপনি never take care of yourself. I wish you’d stop, someday you’re going to--”
The water was shoved in her face and she greedily began drinking it after she realized how thirsty she was. “Keep drinking that while I explain why, okay?”
She raised an eyebrow, which was clearly visible without sunglasses অথবা a mask, but ব্যক্ত nothing, and he began.
“You’re amazingly kind. আপনি always have something good to say about the worst situations and if আপনি do have something bad to say আপনি say it in the nicest way possible. আপনি care about people and আপনি have the capacity to relate to basically any type of problem, because you’ve been through so much, and yet you’re still so young. আপনি blow my mind with how calm আপনি can be in the most life-threatening of situations. And yet when you’re around people আপনি are familiar with.. you’re so damn spunky and have this great attitude. You’re just always so, well, it’s kind of hard to describe it, but whatever it is, it’s just so funny and I প্রণয় it. And I can’t even begin to say how cute.. no, that’s not it, how beautiful আপনি are. You’re always complaining about your hair, how long it is, how annoying it gets, but it’s so perfect for you. And your eyes.. sure, they’re ‘just like Delta’s’ but they aren’t, okay? They’re different. That’s just the beginning of the reasons, Kyra, you’re just perfect to me. But my পছন্দ reason?”
She glanced up at him, blushing furiously, and gasped when she found him right পরবর্তি to her. “It’s because I প্রণয় you.”
She tilted her head and kissed him lightly, but he deepened it in an instant. She broke it after a few সেকেন্ড and leaned on his shoulder as he moved from the chair onto the bed. “I প্রণয় আপনি too.”
He smiled. “Get আরো sleep, we’ll talk আরো when আপনি wake up.”
“Same goes to you, bastard,” she muttered lightly, already curled up into the sheets, smiling.
Nyeah, i'm unhappy with that ending. Whatever... :P
