Hurt, lost, confused... Help??

So I like this guy who I met at my friend's party and he goes to my school and he is a senior (I am a sophomore). And after the party, he started texting and flirting with me. I asked if he liked me and he ব্যক্ত yes but he wasn't ready to ask me out. He told me to be patient. So things happen, at one point I thought he was my boyfriend but then I talked it over with him and he wasn't so we are বন্ধু but I'm still sure that he still likes me. The problem is, is that he doesn't text me first like he use to, he doesn't respond to my texts, and when he sees me in school he'll say hi but it's just not the same. I don't know what to do anymore because I feel like he is slipping away and I don't want to lose him. Homecoming is also coming up and it's for juniors and seniors only. Freshman and sophomores can go but only if they get asked. I'm worried that he will ask someone else and just completely ditch me as if nothing ever happened. What do I do? উপদেশ please??? Thanks!
