Winter.... The coldest the নেকড়ে of Jasper ever knew. The নেকড়ে persevered through the winter, knowing Spring was down the line. They were a peaceful sort, rarely fought, and when disputes happened, the two leaders, Winston and Tony, they got together and sorted things out. However both packs were fairly small, considering how many casualties had arisen... Humphrey... even Eve, had died from the cold. Frostbite. After that, Kate, Humphrey’s mate, had never been the same. The wind howled. Louder and less merciful then the wolf’s howl... It blew with out mercy... with out remorse... Blowing the souls out of the weak, and chilling the hearts of those tough enough to survive. Recently, a litter of pups were born just at the same time Kate was born, before the great winds came. Six pups, hard enough to manage 3, let alone six. Three had already died. All three of them girls. The only ones left were males, and even then, they were very weakly hanging onto life. Seth, meaning new beginning, Rallen, and Frostbite, named after his icy blue eyes. Their dad had died, but their mother, Morgan, weak as she was, was almost completely dead. This is the story of Seth, Rallen, and Frostbite. The last three pups, of Morgan’s litter.

Seth sniffed with his nose pressed against the ground, searching for game. It was just yesterday that he and his brothers had taken down a caribou. They could not call themselves a pack of three wolves. Not only because of their numbers, but also because there wasn’t a dominant male অথবা female. Their mother had also died recently, lowering their numbers even more. “Seth! Frostbite! Here!” Rallen called out. The winds stung Seth’s nose as he ran towards his brother. As him and frostbite breathed, their breath exploded into a white cataclysm of vapour, that ultimately flew back onto their own faces, creating crystals of frost over their faces. They were all four years old... A good age to be splitting off from their pack and finding a mate, however it wouldn’t do good to do so. That would probably lower their chances of survival even more. Seth and Frostbite ran towards their brother. Frostbite was the only one that took their mother’s features... White পশম and blue eyes. Seth’s, his dad and mom’s features. Grey and white fur, as well as green eyes from his dad. Rallen however, had a very odd hue of red and black which was completely unexpected. “What have আপনি found?” Seth asked. “Caribou...” Rallen whispered back. Frostbite’s mouth opened and he licked his chomps in anticipation. “Don’t get too excited,” Rallen replied, his tail lashing about violently. “Sure.” Frost replied. “So how are we going to take it down?” Seth asked, impatiently. “I’m not quite sure...” Rallen replied. “All I know is that we are going to need-“ Rallen stopped upon seeing a group of eight নেকড়ে rush into the clearing, and begin attacking the caribou. “Hey! Whoa!” Rallen exclaimed. “Come on guys! They’re taking out caribou!” Rallen began to rush the group. Frostbite and Seth exchanged looks before following their brother.

“Hutch, go to the left. Miranda আপনি to the right. Garth, আপনি go behind it. We can’t let this one escape. Our pack is counting on us.” Kate ordered, keeping her stomach low to the ground. The rest of her pack mates were behind her, ready to spring at her orders. “Now!” Kate exclaimed, leaping forward. Within a moment, them নেকড়ে were upon the unsuspecting caribou, whom was now kicking the wolves. Then, a red blur shot out and tackled Hutch. “This is out kill!” Rallen exclaimed, punching Hutch, knocking him unconscious. Kate noticed this. She was too far away to do anything. “Garth! Hutch is being attacked!” “What? But the caribou is over,” He stopped and charged Rallen upon turning. Rallen was head butted, and had the wind knocked out of him upon being hit on his side. He slowly got up, panting, when Garth hit him to the ground, and wrapped his jaws around Rallen’s throat. Rallen watched in fear as Garth slowly prepared to kill him, when Garth was wrapped দ্বারা two muscular arms and flung to the ground. “Seth!” Rallen called. Seth took no notice. He pinned Garth to the ground. “Don’t touch my brother!” He yelled, elbowing Garth’s shoulder, dislocating it. He yelped in pain. “Garth!” Yelled Kate. She ran over to Seth and leapt at him. Seth looked up just in time. “Miranda! Go get help!” Kate ordered. Miranda nodded and jetted away. Kate opened her mouth, teeth baring, growling. Seth dodged out of the way. Kate landed helplessly, over Rallen’s body. “Ow!” She yelped upon yelling. “You’re a...” Seth started, in disbelief. “A girl! Yeah!” She exclaimed, leaping at him again. Seth didn’t move. She pinned him against the tree. “Haha... What A girl I am...” She growled, slashing at Seth whom was helplessly, অথবা at least he looked helpless... Against a tree. Everyone gaped and laughed at Seth, except for his brothers. Rallen was getting up, recovering from the now yelping Garth, and Frostbite whom was tackled and pinned frm a brown wolf. “Nice try girl... But you’ve sadly underestimated me...” Seth kicked out his hind legs, sending Kate flying into the নেকড়ে on শীর্ষ of Frostbite. Frostbite took this chance to pick up the নেকড়ে দ্বারা the throat, and knee him in the stomach. The নেকড়ে coughed up a glob of blood. Then Frost dropped the wolf, whom lay sprawled on the ground, with his face wearing an expression of shock. Kate tried to get up but the air was knocked out of her. She looked up and her eyes met Seth’s. She looked at him with fear in her eyes. Seth stared at her and then turned away to help his two brothers.

Kate watched in shock as the three newcomers beat her pack mates. Just three of them... And that Seth one... Strong enough to send her flying. She watched as one of her pack mates went flying above her. She ducked in time so she wouldn’t be hit. She screamed as she saw one of her pack mates literally crying from the gash in their shoulder. She slowly tried to get up but immediately was pressed against the ground, দ্বারা Rallen pressing against her shoulder. Miranda came with 4 আরো wolves. Whom were each tackled and knocked out দ্বারা the three brothers. Miranda tackled and pinned দ্বারা Frost, Rallen took down two and Seth held another দ্বারা the throat. Twelve নেকড়ে taken down দ্বারা three new comers. Seth dropped the other one whom was breathing heavily in shock. Seth looked around at the carnage. “What do আপনি want...” Kate whispered, desperately. “WE were hunting the caribou.” Seth answered. Blood soaked the snow and unconscious bodies were scattered all over the clearing. The caribou had escaped and Kate as well as the pinned Miranda were the only conscious wolves. “Ow...” Kate muttered, trying to get up again. Just then, over 20 নেকড়ে entered the clearing. Seth turned to Kate in surprise. She grinned at him triumphantly. Seth just shrugged, and called for his brothers to follow him. He swung দ্বারা latching onto a branch and his brothers hit the বৃক্ষ top. “Wait!” Came a deep voice. Seth looked down and almost jumped down. All the better to eat আপনি with... Seth thought and then quickly hopped back up. It was Winston. “No!... We just wish to talk!” Seth exchanged glances with his brothers. They nodded and they all hopped down.

Seth looked around, watching the নেকড়ে slowly getting up. Kate was over at Garth’s side expecting his shoulder. “What did আপনি DO?” Kate exclaimed, looking up at Seth. He pulled on it, and Garth yelped in pain. Then Seth pushed in and made a sickly popping noise. Garth yelped once again, and then he could সরানো his shoulder again. Seth immediately turned around, and found his brothers knocked out, being dragged away দ্বারা the other wolves. “You snake!” Seth exclaimed. Winston took no notice of Seth’s shot. Then, Seth was slammed দ্বারা two wolves. He immediately hopped up and grabbed one of their throats and lifted them up. Everyone gaped, including Winston. He looked at his brothers. They were just unconscious. He couldn’t just leave them... Seth sighed and dropped the struggling wolf. He then sat down and দাখিল হয়েছে himself to the wolves.
