Kate opens her eyes and takes a deep breath... "Finally, I'm free
after all these years of being trapped in this prison. Kate turns around
and sees' the claw trap holding her down. With both paws she grabs
the steel trap and opens the jaws breaking it in two. "HEE childs
play, she snarls. In the distance she can hear the two hunters getting

Chapter 30: The End of the Tale

Kate, Humphrey, and সর্প arrived at Leyla’s house late that night, but she was still awake and gladly let them in.

Chapter 28: Humphrey's Decision

It took two days for Kate and Humphrey to return to the valley and they were greeted happily when they arrived.

“You’re back!” সর্প exclaimed when she saw them.

“What happened with Viggo?” Oscar asked.

“He’s gone,” Humphrey replied, beginning to explain their entire ordeal.

“Viggo’s dead?” Stinky asked when Humphrey was finished.

“They’re all dead,” Kate replied. “Viggo, Robert, the survivors of the battle; they’re all gone.”

“It’s finally over,” Humphrey said, smiling a little.

Word quickly spread that Viggo and Robert were dead...

When Humphrey woke up the পরবর্তি day, he was in a completely different place. For a moment, he thought he was back in the pack, but as he looked around, he realized that nothing was familiar. Chapter 5: Dawn of Destruction

Night had fallen and Claudette, Runt, and most of the pack had long since gone to sleep. A few নেকড়ে remained awake to guard the borders in case something went wrong, sleeping in shifts the whole night. The rest of the দিন had gone দ্বারা without event after Stinky had left and everyone thought nothing bad was going to happen. As dawn approached, however, something did happen. “Humphrey!” Kate shouted.

As soon as he felt the excruciating pain in his side, Humphrey’s jaw relaxed and the man crawled out from under him, cradling his injured arm. Humphrey staggered, but remained standing. His face showed an expression of surprise rather than pain.
