A lot more pale, since I highly doubt you can get tan underground (and he probably doesn't own a tanning bed...) Unfortunately, his attractiveness in this movie has made a lot of fangirls think hes this gorgeous man, when he really wasn't, and I'm sure they'd be devastated to read the book and realize he was old, sick, and had no nose, or even see the stage version and see that chunk of flesh missing from the side of his head. Besides him being too gorgeous, I did enjoy Gerard's portrayal. His singing was just fine (people gripe about it like hes the worst singer in the world. He can carry a tune!). He really captured the Phantom's mysterious personality and love for Christine very well. I always get choked up watching him cry during All I Ask of You/AIAOY Reprise, and at the end when he sings "Christine, I love you..." before she hands him the ring, I'm in tears. I don't get to rant about this much. haha. Just my opinion. :) posted বছরখানেক আগে.
