“Sir, can আপনি hear me?”
Cas slowly opened his eyes and blinked. He lifted his hand to shut the sharp light out. Someone was pointing a really small flash light at his eyes.
“Sir, I need to check your eyes. Could আপনি hold your hands down, please?”
It was a man and he was wearing a white coat. Cas vaguely remembered these people were called doctors.
“Looks all good” the doctor said. He looked up at Cas. “You are one very lucky man, Mister…?”
Cas shook his head. “I don’t know what my name is. I don’t know anything…about anything” He ব্যক্ত it as if he was talking about not being capable of baking an egg, but when he saw the doctor’s expression he realized his condition wasn’t as common as he thought it was.
“Maybe we should run a few আরো tests” the doctor said. “I’d like to do an MRI-scan to see if there’s any brain damage”
Cas nodded.
“The police is going to want to talk to you” the doctor jumped to another subject.
“Why?” Cas frowned. Sure he hadn’t done anything wrong.
“You have no legal papers, sir. They’ll want an explanation for that” the doctor explained.
“But I don’t remember anything!” Cas loudly ব্যক্ত and his voice had a desperate undertone.
The doctor sighed. “I don’t think they’ll go with that…I’m going to get everything ready for the scan”
He walked to the door and opened it, almost colliding to Daphne who was carrying a paper bag. “I’m sorry, Miss Allen”
“Oh, hi, doctor Tyson” Daphne ব্যক্ত friendly. “How’s he doing?”
“You can ask yourself. He’s awake”
Daphne walked past the doctor to the bed.
“Hi” she ব্যক্ত a little shy.
“Hi” Cas ব্যক্ত just as shy.
Daphne stared in his blue eyes and found herself unable to look away from them. There was something…angelic about them. Cas averted his head and noticed the bag.
“What’s in the bag?” he asked.
“Oh” Daphne quickly recovered with a smile. “Some of the most unhealthy খাবার আপনি can imagine, like fries and cheeseburgers. I mean, আপনি must be starving, right?”
“No” Cas bluntly said.
Daphne frowned, offended. Cas realized he made a mistake and tried to make it up.
“But I do প্রণয় cheeseburgers” he ব্যক্ত sheepish, but it was good enough for Daphne. She sank down on the বিছানা and conjured a cheeseburger. She handed it to Cas, while she got one herself.
“The doctor ব্যক্ত the police wants to talk to me, because I have no legal papers. He says they’ll want an explanation” Cas said, staring at his cheeseburger. He had a strange feeling he had seen this kind of খাবার before. Well, of course he had, how else would he remember loving it? He looked up. “I don’t have an explanation”
Daphne chewed her burger and swallowed before she answered. “Easy” she said. “You were robbed”
“I don’t know that” Cas ব্যক্ত confused.
“It’s either that অথবা being a naturist” Daphne joked.
“I can’t prove it” Cas said.
Daphne raised her eyebrows. “You were naked. আপনি didn’t have any bags অথবা gadgets, like a watch, অথবা anything. And আপনি looked quite shocked to me. If that ain’t robbery then I don’t know what is”
“Why are আপনি being so nice to me?” Cas asked soft. “You have no idea who I am”
Daphne looked down and her fingers played with a নেকলেস that had a small ক্রুশ on it. She looked up again. “God wanted me to find you. He would want me to take care of you”
