Who would have thought that a show about three witches would find the success that Charmed did on the WB Network? The show not only became the second-longest running show on the WB Network but it also became the second-longest running show all-time with only female
Charmed debuted in 1998 and at the time it set a record for the biggest première on the network. The record would later be broken on another show on this list.
Charmed found the majority of its success in its first three seasons. After season three there was a change made to one of the lead characters and the result was a dip in the ratings. Despite the loss of viewers, Charmed maintained strong numbers in season four through six before beginning to struggle in its final two seasons.
Charmed became known as the ultimate guilty pleasure and although viewership was lost along the way, the final season still averaged close to 3.5 million viewers per episode which isn’t too shabby. If you loved yourself some Hocus Pocus, you’ll certainly love yourself some charmed.
