Defense of original Book Bamon অনুরাগী who also ship প্রদর্শনী Bamon
Kay, so I wrote this out of extreme annoyance at a certain fanbase who claims that some of us only ship প্রদর্শনী Bamon because of the dynamic of Bamon in the বই (which is completely not true).
Since I am a অনুরাগী who loved Book Bamon before the প্রদর্শনী even aired, I thought I could give my take on it.
So, three years পূর্বে when, when I was twelve, I read the VD book series. I was just getting over a “Twilight” phase (now before আপনি roll your eyes, I am not obsessed with it anymore. I still like it, but I know there are many other vampire fandoms that are better like VD, Anne Rice, Underworld, and ect.)
Anyway, I bought the বই and began to read.
I was a Stelena অনুরাগী in the বই from the start (meaning I NEVER shipped Delena), but Damon’s character still interested me. I just hadn’t been sure who I wanted him with.
That was, until I read Dark Reunion. After that, Bamm! It was instant love, and Bamon became my OPT.
I wanted them together SO bad, and my প্রণয় only grew for them আরো when I read Nightfall (which I believe, was the last book to come out before the প্রদর্শনী aired).
Two years later, when I heard there was going to be a টেলিভিশন show, I quickly became excited. I couldn’t wait to see one of my পছন্দ book series become a প্রদর্শনী that I could watch on every Thursday.
So on the night the pilot episode was to air; I sat down and watched it with my mom and sister.
And….I was disappointed, a little angry even. At the time, I had been expecting and hoping for it to be like the book series, so I could see the characters come to life.
VD was the first CW প্রদর্শনী I watched, so I wasn’t aware of how much they change things when they adapt বই into shows (from what I heard, “Gossip Girl” was originally a book series, and they changed that greatly too).
So to put it short, I didn’t like the প্রদর্শনী at first, AT ALL.
The only thing that kept me watching was my sister, who hadn’t read the বই and was intrigued দ্বারা the idea of the প্রদর্শনী its self.
I cooled down a bit, and decided to give the প্রদর্শনী a chance, completely erasing the hope of it similar to the বই from my mind.
And I began to প্রণয় the প্রদর্শনী as a whole, book series aside. But like book Damon, I wasn’t sure who I wanted প্রদর্শনী Damon with, since I figured Bonnie and Damon were NOTHING like the ones from the book series.
So yes, even though I was still completely in প্রণয় with book Bamon, I didn’t ship প্রদর্শনী Bamon at all at first.
That was, until I saw the episode “History Repeating”. After that, the idea of Bamon in the প্রদর্শনী intrigued me, as did Kat and Ian’s chemistry.
So I got on trusty Fanfiction.net, and read some amazing প্রদর্শনী Bamon fanfiction and bam! Just like I had with book Bamon, I instantly fell in প্রণয় with the idea of প্রদর্শনী Bamon.
The point I’m trying to make is, though I loved book Bamon long before I even knew there was going to be a show, I do প্রণয় প্রদর্শনী Bamon for totally different reasons (even though I do sometimes find similarities between the two).
I ship প্রদর্শনী Bamon FOR what they are, প্রদর্শনী Bamon, NOT because I read the বই and already loved book Bamon. I know they are entirely two different things.
And I’m sure many others feel the same way I do…
