Verbal might remain for a long time. Physical would heal over time.

It really depends on the situation and the persons involved. For some people, physical bullying is literally beating a message into their bodies, and thus it's far worse than words. For others, the physical element is just seen as something superficial, whereas the words themselves bite deep.

Something about how quickly things can spread and how easily the harassment can follow after moving away or leaving school. The way it can follow you home or how you can save and document it makes it seem a lot more mentally exhausting to me.

I think this is the worst of them all. Physical and verbal bullying are horrible, don't get me wrong, but there's something particularly galling about people sitting behind a computer and not even being able to see you, or know who are as a person and still abuse you for no reason at all - that's just cowardly, even more cowardly than the others... I just can't fathom why people do this, why they have to make peoples' lives miserable, just because they have a shitty life themselves, or just enjoy inflicting pain on others.
