CLEVELAND, Ohio – The only real question about Disney on Ice Presents "Frozen" is, "How could this

"Ha ha, yeah, the idea kind of presents itself," says performance director Gig Siruno. He was calling from the road in North Carolina last month about the touring ice show that comes to The Q this Friday for a week-plus stand, bringing 39 skaters.

" \'Frozen\' certainly does lend itself to the ice, and, well, it\'s one of the biggest movies ever. We knew it would be a perfect fit from the beginning."

That\'s an understatement. The highest-grossing animated film in history — taking in $1.2 billion worldwide — is already set in an icy winter wonderland. The tale of princesses Anna and Elsa of Arendelle, one with the curse of turning everything she touches to ice, the other driven by fierce love to warm the heart of her sister and save her kingdom, couldn\'t be more ideal for the ice.

"In our more than 30 years of producing Disney on Ice shows, Feld Entertainment has been waiting for a film like this," says producer Nicole Feld of the 34

annual edition of Disney on Ice. "While it might seem obvious that \'Frozen\' is well suited for the ice, this Disney on Ice production will touch audiences emotionally through innovative show elements and world-class skating."

The ice stage adds yet another elements to the story, says Siruno.

"It gives it new dimension, new life -- it\'s been such a joy to watch it come together."

But Siruno says the tour doesn\'t just put blades on the blockbuster Disney hit.

"The story has been expanded to add in the skating element, and to focus even more on the characters. We also added more description to the storyline, and to Arendelle," says Siruno. "There is some amazing scenery."

That scenery includes snow inside. Scenes from the movie are also projected during much of the show, which re-creates Elsa\'s snow mountain – and yes, her "Let it Go" star turn.

Disney on Ice Presents "Frozen" has been on the ice since last fall, less than a year after the movie began making box-office history and "Let It Go" became the anthem of a generation.

"It\'s been wonderful to watch and see the audience\'s reaction to \'Let it Go\' and the rest of the show," says Siruno. "To see how strongly people respond is powerful. It\'s an iconic moment to see Elsa gliding around the ice to this beautiful story and music. It adds another layer."
