I love Pocahontas' ballgown. It shows her like a princess, just she really is. The ribbon are really nice and she looks elegant.

Or Forest winter outfit.

It doesn't really work for her.

I never like her ballgown.

It literally looks like they tried to make it looks stupid. First of all, it does not look elegant at all. The designs are so wired and jumbled and the back looks flat out hideous. The way the skirt puffs out looks like a big blob. The top is ugly, that gem in the middle looks weird. And UGH! I hate the sleeves. They are way too thick and the way they puff up just look like a mockery of Belle's sleeves. The train on the back looks strange and sticks out in a wired way. And the hairstyle is just a no. It's too sophisticated and over the top and they made it just look weird. I hate this dress.

When I see this I'm like "NO WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO MY PRINCESS!!!!"

It doesn't suit her character... it's just not Pocahontas. It's a nice enough dress by itself (though a bit too puffy for my taste) but the other outfits are more.. well.. her.

Personally I think the ball gown is great for Pocahontas. It has her signature colours (cream, brown-gold, and teal) and it suits her time period and whether you like or not, a part of who she is. Pocahontas isn't just a natural Native by the second movie, she has a place in England and a place in the upper class once she marries Rolfe. Besides the cuffs and the back of the skirt, it is a really nice gown. Plus Belle's dress is bigger, so puff isn't really an issue to me. My favourite is the tribal dance outfit, but the ball gown is good. Maybe not fabulous or iconic, but good.
As for this outfit, I like the winter outfit on it's own, but the blanket's colours are dull and dingy and it's pretty plain.

I agree with Jessikaroo about her ball gown, I like it, and I think that gem is nice because it adds the blue like from her mother's necklace! And it looks like Belle's because they were from the same time period, clothing-wise.
They must have changed the coloring on this dress from the original, because it really washes her out and just doesn't go with her skintone. The sleeves don't add much, and it just looks weird.
