Sleeping Beauty is a good movie but it has some flaws. It astounds me with how great certain things and what a complete mess other things are. Maleficent is a fantastic villain, the three good fairies are great and were the first Disney females to actually take action, the songs are good, the musical score is brilliant, and the climax is pretty cool. I'm not too crazy about the animation but it's nice looking, just too detailed and not very natural looking. But the problems with it are the fact that the two main characters are boring as hell, the couple is undeveloped and have no chemistry, and the movie has too much filler in it. The fact that it has too much filler in it is part of the reason why the two main characters are so boring. It's a very unbalanced film. But the stuff that's good about the movie are really dang good!

Tangled is a completely brilliant film! They come up with a reason for the hair to grow in just a brilliant way! The characters are great and well-developed, the humor is hilarious, the couple is great, the animation is beautiful, the villain is pretty cool, the songs are good, and the emotional scenes are tear jerking. The scene with the parents before lighting the lanterns was just incredible and done without any dialogue. Same with when Rapunzel finally gets reunited with her parents. But it does have it's own problems. While the humor is hilarious, there are a few times (though rare) where the humor is kind of forced. Plus the ending is really too corny and Flynn's wise-cracks in the ending and the opening narration is really jarring. But it's definitely one of my favorite Disney movies, top 10 easily.

SO much more. Tangled is bland, boring, lacks interesting characters, has only a half decent and very flawed plotline, and is incredibly mediocre, in my opinion.

It's a classic!

I love Tangled, but Sleeping Beauty is a masterpiece.

2nd favorite Disney movie! It's just beautiful, and I adore the soundtrack.

although it has some boring moments unlike tangled, the parts that are engaging i enjoy more. tangled is just a pleasant film that gets no emotional rise out of me.

I like both, but Tangled had a bit more humor in it. So I like it a bit more.

Love both movies, but I am the type of person who loved modern adaptation of fairy tales more. Sleeping Beauty is just same as the original fairytale.
