Mandy has a good voice but is too breathy. Jennifer has such a beautiful voice.

She sounds great in that song. I like Mandy's voice but sometimes she does the talk-singing thing.

^Well, yeah, she's acting as the character of Rapunzel while singing at the same time. Jennifer just has to sing the end credits song (though with incredible emotion, for sure).
If you listen to Mandy Moore's other music, she actually doesn't do that "talk-singing thing" (which isn't even bad, in my opinion) at all.

Yeah, I don't mind the talk-singing because she is playing a character and it adds more to the emotion of the song and character. Jodi Benson has one of the best voices I've EVER heard and she does some talk-singing during Part of Your World, which makes Ariel's love of the human world and her desire to be "part of that world" all the more effective. When Howard Ashman was coaching Jodi during that song he said not to worry so much about sounding powerful (That would come later in the reprise) but rather to focus on the emotion and intensity of the song, which had amazing results.
