"Vapid damsels with no personality who just pine after a man with no ambition beyond cleaning/looking pretty/singing" aka the theme song for the Strong Female Character loving critics and haven't seen any Classic movies since they were 4. We all know the tune.

Snow and Aurora do get bashed more since Cinderella has actually gained more respect in recent years, but at the same time her hate is much less founded. There's no evidence that she "just wanted a man" (which is a valid desire anyway, especially for an abuse victim) and she did work hard to get what she wanted.

And yeah, Merida. A lot of the criticism she gets for what she did to Elinor may be valid but people go out of their way to make her into some demon who wanted to murder her mom. (At least here.)
