A Mary Sue (sometimes just Sue), in fanfiction, is a fictional character with overly idealized and hackneyed mannerisms, lacking noteworthy flaws, and primarily functioning as a wish-fulfillment fantasy for the author or reader. Perhaps the single underlying feature of all characters described as "Mary Sues" is that they are too ostentatious for the audience's taste, or that the author seems to favor the character too highly. The author may seem to push how exceptional and wonderful the "Mary Sue" character is on his or her audience, sometimes leading the audience to dislike or even resent the character fairly quickly; such a character could be described as an "author's pet".

Like a perfect character (at least that's what i think of hearing Mary Sue). Aurora's definitely the first one that comes to mind with that description.

Belle comes to mind first. It's like Disney was begging us to like her.

Or Cinderella or Belle. They all seem perfect to me. I based a character on Aurora, and that character was my Mary Sue.

Well, Belle did much greater things, and has no flaws at all, I consider Aurora's flaws when she vain about going to castle

Aurora has flaws. You can see them when she's more fussed about a guy she met for 5 minutes than learning that she's a princess and that she has parents who love her etc. She seems rather spoilt, to be honest.
Whereas Belle is this sickeningly perfect character that all the characters in the film adore. Gah. Watching Beauty and The Beast is becoming so similar to attempting to read Twilight. It's all "Oh, Bella/Belle is PERFECT. All the guys fancy her and look. Isn't she so PRETTY? The hottest guy in the story totally wants to get in her pants!"

Ok, never, ever in your life compare Twilight to any Disney movie, or I will call you Stephanie Meyer!

She's beautiful, smart, kind, reads books, doesn't judge people, is dedicated to her father, follows the rules, is polite, isn't afraid to stand up for herself so to put it in shorter words a Mary Sue

I wondering why almost nobody though Cinderella is Mary Sue. She and Aurora are the closest one.
And I don't really think Belle is a Mary Sue. She's sometimes being self-pride and stubborn.
