I think so... mostly because of that background music in some parts give off that feeling.

Yeah, I guess that one is the only one that sort of gives off that vibe. But I don't know. I keep thinking of the sidekicks that make the film more lively and funny. But I don't know if I ever felt a sense of mystery when I watched any of them.

I think so..... the whole bayou is mysterious, the spell is mysterious, the friends on the other side are mysterious....

A lot of other Disney films, you know what's going on when the characters don't. This film wasn't like that all the time and kept the viewer in the dark in places. A lot of the settings also had a mysterious vibe to them and some of the characters were very shifty and had that "just what are they up to?" essence.

and TPATF!

Beauty and the Beast is one of the least mysterious... The atmosphere is just slightly over the top all throughout the movie. This is the quality it shares with TPATF.

The most mysterious film...or the one that has a grandeur that other films don't is...Sleeping Beauty, and that's because of Eyvind Earle's landscapes... which are starkly different from most other forms of animation. The next one to follow the mysterious element tonally is Pocahontas, then Mulan.
